Fans discuss whether Jerry's dark blue top and red sweats in the pilot episode intentionally reference Superman colors or simply match the Mets game he's watching.
Anyone notice that Jerry, in the scene where we meet Kramer/Kessler for the first time, is wearing a dark blue top and red sweats--Superman colors! I think it's a clear reference, though. I wonder if this was intentional, or by chance.
A last note--while watching the taped Mets game, he's not only wearing Superman colors, he's eating cereal! The two favorite hobbies of Jerry. Too much to be chance...
On my TV the pants looked Orange, and I remember thinking that he was wearing Mets colors for the game........
