saw a weird thing on TV Land tonight

Saw a show that I think was called Day By Day. The reception of the Preview Channel Guide wasn't very good today. The show was awful but it had Julia Louis- Dreyfuss in a supporting role as the neighbor of the main family. What year did this air? It must of lasted at least half a season because they showed a christmas epsisode.

Anyone else catch this? One of her two scenes i caught involved her giving gifts to the family. When they wanted to wait until Christmas morning to open them she gets impatient takes them back and opens them herself in front of the family then proceeds to offer them again. Her impatience was very reminiscent of Elaine's character. Just thought I'd share.

I remember this show, and if it lasted half a season it wasn't much longer than that. It was about a couple who quit their jobs to run a daycare center, and Julia was a neighbor or something. I can't believe the show is on TV Land now, they must be showing the same episodes constantly. There were never that many made.

Yeah, it was called ...something with "the harper familiy" i think (I remember only the hebrew translation_ and actually, when I started to watch Seinfeld, IO did it only because I knew Julia from that show. Little did I knew...

I hope they don't start showing stuff like this on TV Land. I really have to think it was Christamas theme night from the 1980's or something. The night before A Very Brady Christamas special was on.

I remember the show pretty well, actually, even though I was 8 years old when it ran. I remember Julia well--her name on the show was "Eileen", ironically. Christopher Barnes, who plays Greg in the Brady Bunch movies, was also in it. I remember an episode where he dreamed he lived with the Brady Bunch and he was Greg. Anyway, the show sucked and who knew Julia would go onto something so much bigger and better?
