it's too bad

I think it's really too bad that because of all the ridiculous hoopla over the Puerto Rican Day episode NBC will not be re-running it. In some ways, it kind of is the last Seinfeld episode. For those who didn't care for the finale ( and count me among them, although to me it was because it just wasn't funny - not because of the storyline, but that's another story) and just want to "forget" that it ever aired that leaves the PRD episode. And secondly, it IS the last regular 30 minute show.

I thought it had quite a lot of the attributes of a good Seinfeld episode. It was a "real time" episode, the plot lines came together nicely at the end, and it was quite funny IMO. I thought the last scene in the apartment for rent (with Pennypacker et al) was hilarious.

Seeing as NBC has already re-run the finale and the clip-show, this would have been the most logical remaining choice as the last episode to be shown in the regular time slot.

The most ironic thing (and a sad commentary on our society) is that the very point that they were trying to humorously bring forth - that it can be stupid to jump to conclusions and mete out punishment on someone that you feel might be denegrating something you hold sacred because that might not be the case - came back to bite them in the butt! And IMO, for someone to actually take offense because of this episode is to really, really miss the point.

Puerto Rican Day is one of the best Seinfeld episodes in my opinion. I especially like that bit when Kramer happens to burn the Puerto Rican flag.
