Seinfeld vs. Ellen

In the latest Entertainment Weekly magazine (March 24), there is a full page article about how several "Ellen" plots have been very similar to Seinfeld's. It's amazing. Check it out!

I don't think we get  Ent. Weekly magazine over here. Can you give
examples? I would really like to know about this...since I've seen
Ellen I do think its similiar to Seinfeld.

Although Seinfeld has been a great show for all these seasons, it seems as
though every character is carrying on the show except for Jerry himself!
He is the most boring guy on the show!  Kramer, Elaine, even George are
all funnier than he, and that is the only reason that I watch the show!
   Something I like about Ellen.....   Ellen is the one that is funny!
Sure her co-actors are funny, but I watch it for the crazy situations that
SHE get's into!
   I say keep the Seinfeld show, but lose Jerry and rename to something like:
GEORGE, Kramer and Elaine! or something.

Isn't it possible to like Jerry and Ellen at the same time?? I know I do. I'll admit that when I saw the first episode of Ellen I thought it was VERY Seinfeld-y. So Seinfeld-y in fact, that I couldn't believe they were getting away with it. I think now, though, that Ellen has evolved into it's own type of show, and I make it just as much of a priority to watch Ellen as I do Seinfeld.

I like both shows but if I had to pick I would definly go with Seinfeld! I've watched it for years! L8R
