I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember Michael Richards being in a show called Fridays,( kind of a saturday night live rip-off) several years ago.

Michael Richards, the actor who plays Kramer, has been in many movies. He followed on as James Bond after Sean Connery and Roger Moore got too old. I believe he was in three or four of those. He was commander of the Enterprise in one of the "Star Trek" movies, I forget which one. This role also led to a cameo in "Star Wars, The Empire Strikes" back where he is Darth Vader's right hand man. He was also starred in all of the Batman movies and played the part of Forrest Gump in the movie of the same name. These are just a few of the places you may have seen Kramer.

Friday's, an alternative SNL dating from, uh, when, 1982? Something like that?

On ABC, taped in L.A., hosted by Jack Burns of Burns & Shreiver, lasted two or three years. Also among the cast members was Mark Blankfield and several other people I wish I could remember. It wasn't that bad a show -- it just couldn't compete with SNL at the time.

The real-life Kramer looks quite a bit like Michael Richards, pure dumb luck for Seinfeld since this little casting decision gave us the best part of the show.

He was on an episode of Mad about You, one of the 1st season shows. Paul lived in the same building as Seinfeld and actually Kramer was living in Paul's apt.

On Encore this week the movie "The Mosquito Coast" starring Harrison Ford was playing and I noticed a very early role for George(Jason Alexander). He plays a hardware store clerk who gets reamed out by Ford for selling Japanese made products.

Stanley Kuwalski was in "Streetcar Named Desire" by the way & not UHF. :) Michael Richards played Stanley Spadowski. If anyone hasn't seen him in this movie...GET IT!!! It's a classic! That is where I first saw Michael Richards. He's even weirder in it than he is as Kramer.

Fridays was an ABC vehicle, on for about three years, if I'm not mistaken. Michael Richards was on and so was Larry David, the director of Seinfeld. Larry David also plays Frank Costanza's <sp?> lawyer and he does the voice of Steinbrenner.

Actually, the Friday night show (SNL-like) was called "Fridays", not "Friday Night." Also, he was in Transylvania 65-000 and "Coneheads" and "Young Doctors in Love."

Michael Richards was in a really old episode of "Cheers" (early 80's). He played a guy who made a bet with Sam (while he was drunk) that if he didn't marry Jacqueline Bisset within a year (or some period of time) then he would get the bar. Sam had no recollection of this bet and is surprised to see him Richards' character (can't remember the name) shows up one day to collect his due.

Wasn't he in "Pennisulvania 6-5000" as well?

I wouldn't say they are the best 2 comedians to come out of SNL, but they aren't too bad. I like Adam Sandlers goofy songs he did on the Weekend Update (lunchlady land, red hooded sweatshirt) and his halloween costumes were pretty funny. Farley was good as one of Da Swerskies in Da Bears sketches. I think Billy Crystal, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Martin Short, Harry Shearer, and possibly a few others, are much better though.
