I have noticed that they are making Jerry into a germ-obsessed type (ala Howard Hughes) during the latter part of last season and so far this season.
Unless I missed something in the past episodes, he wasnt (as much) like this.
Also, as others on this newsgroup have pointed out, they seem to be taking Elaine from being a likeable, off-key working girl with three zany friends to being a bossy bitchy mean type.

Not only is Jerry a germ-obsessed freak I noticed that he is very choosey when it comes to the oppopsite sex. Anybody notice?

Hey, I'm not an old timer and I don't tape them, but I still know this! :) It was a fungal medicine and he was very upset because he thought his girlfriend might have a fungus. He gave it to Elaine so her doctor-boyfriend could tell what the medicine was for (I think it was the podiatrist). In the meantime, his girlfriend tells him she's not been getting enough sleep...because her cat is itching like crazy and she can't find his fungal medicine. Then, the doctor-boyfriend finds the fungus medicine in Elaine's purse and the show ends so that you think he's going to break up with her because she might have a fungus.
Anyway, another good example is when Jerry dropped his girlfriend's toothbrush in the toilet, but didn't tell her. He couldn't kiss her and then finally told her. She got back at him by locking him out and saying she dropped something of his down the toilet, and then put it back. But she refuses to tell him what. He ends up throwing away basically anything that could possibly fit down a toilet. She gets the last laugh when she finally tells him, "Yeah, I dropped your toilet brush in the toilet." And he threw all that stuff away for nothing! :)

Did she? I don't remember that. The last scene I remember with her in it was her saying she stayed up all night because the cat was scratchind and was miserable...and Jerry goes "the cat!" or something like that. Was there another scene beyond that that I don't remember?
