Cadillac ep. question...

I enjoyed the whole ep., but the last scene, when Jerry and his parents were leaving... was this in reference to some movie?

I could'nt figure it out.

It was a take off of Nixon getting into the helocopter after he had resigned. I live in Canada, and was not alive to see this happen. Could the education system down in the States be so bad? I thought that the parody was pretty clear.

Why do you have to judge all Americans by one stupid guy? What business is it of yours how smart we are or how good the education is? Obviously, education in the Bronx sucks (save Bronx science) but education in the suburbs and Beverly Hills is the best in the world. Why don't you think before you open your mouth. The humor was in the visual comparison between Jerry's father's situation and Nixon's. Both left office in disgrace. Both left office with colleagues offering sad goodbyes. Both saluted their colleagues before departing by helicopter or car. Yes, I'm old enough to remember. I'm not referring to the movie "Nixon", which I haven't seen; I'm recalling the TV pictures.
