Fans discuss whether Newman's first name is Norman based on a farmer's daughter's comment in 'The Bottle Deposit', with consensus that she was confused and his name remains Newman.
In "The Bottle Deposit", this is the one where Newman is at this farm house and is chased away by the farmer and the farmer's daugher calls out to Newman what sounded like to me Norman. It was aired last night at 11 PM on FOX in NY. I wasn't able to find a script of this one. Does she call at Norman or Newman?

I think it's because she's not real bright and she thinks it's Norman.
