Kramer's friend Lomax is Newman. Newman Lomax. That's my theory. That's how he could mention Lomax to Jerry without asking who he was talking about. Everyone knew Newman was Lomax. They just called him by his first name which is perfectly normal.

You mean Lomez, not Lomax. At least that's how I always heard Kramer pronounce that name. Sort of like Gomez, as in Gomez Addams.
I like your theory. But why did Kramer sometimes use either name to refer to Newman Lomez, whereas the rest of the gang always call him Newman? Then again, Kramer was a strange bird - with a bird- face and hair like the Bride of Frankenstein - all around.
What I'd like to know is: How did he address the Soup Nazi, since he was so rankled by that monicker? Did he call him Yev, or Mr. Kassem?

I'm sorry but I can not buy the"Newman is Lomax (Lomez) Theory". I put it right up there with Kramer's pigman theory and some of his other ideas that he gleens from "the Alternative press". Lomez is Lomez. Sacamano is Sacamano. and Newman is Newman. The only time that veiwers even come close to seeing Lomez is in The Betrayal (Backward Episode). We see Kramer standing by a Porta-Potty banging on the door trying to hurry Lomez up so that they will not be late for the movies. If I recall it correctly just before or after that point Newman drives by with his model girlfriend that he wished for at his birthday party. That, in my mind, dispells this Newman is Lomez Theory.

Okay I get it.... However, I'm sorry to say that your theory, as good as it were, does not hold...
In the Backwards episode, 13 minutes in, we see Kramer standing near a toilet waiting for Lomez to go to a movie...
Newman arrives with his new gal in a convertible car, he tells his gal that Zip codes are meaningless...
Kramer looks at Newman in the car.... Kramer then proceeds to leave Lomez because he will be late for the movie...
Thus making it impossible for Lomez to be Newman and vice-versa...
It wasn't my theory.

By the way...in that episode does that guy say:

I believe it's number 2 because earlier in that episode Kramer says:
"I'm only charging $37.50, plus you get a pizza bagel and desert."

I've just assumed it was pizza pound cake, it kinda falls in line with the other comment made about not using cinnamon raisin donuts when (attempting) to make pizza bagels . . .
