The Wiz!

My area has no The Wiz stores so I don't see their commercials? Has anyone seen their commercials, and are they that goofy?

They actually changed their name from 'The Wiz' to 'Nobody Beats The Wiz' a few years ago.

Their commercials were never that goofy, although since Jerry is from New York, they might be combining the old 'Crazy Eddie' commercials (which were loud and in-your-face) with the Wiz, since Crazy Eddie is out of business.

Did they? Was that before or after Cablevision bought them? (BTW: Do not, I say, not subscribe to cablevision cable...they stink beyond stinkyness...not enough channels for too much...money, wasn't that implied?)

It was awhile ago. Most likely before Cablevision entered the picture. By the way, I agree with you about Cablevision (and now they want to by the Mets!!!!). The cable company in my area (Comcast) is just as bad. Now I've switched to DirecTV.

If it was only so easy for me...I can't convince the damn parental units to switch...all I'm saying is the day I get the hell out of this place is the day I say abyssinia to Cablevision...

No, they aren't goofy at all...no one rants "I'm the wiz" however the phrase "No body beats the wiz" is still used...my area (the New York area) has pleanty of them...one right down the block from me, I get all my CDs there...

I used to see Wiz commercials all the time back when WWOR was a SuperStation.
