Goerge v. Elaine

Who was funnier, and why? Discuss.

Also, what is the episode where George says Elaine is 'stickin it to me!' because she earns more money than him or something... Ed.

George. Personally Elaine was my least favourite character. George should IMHO win over because the Jerry/George conversations were funnier than Jerry/Elaine. Stuff like the superman conversation at the start of The Stock Tip, the whole planning of 'Jerry', The Switch etc. Also stuff in The Opposite ("Hi, my name's George..."), The Hamptons ("shrinkage") etc. Also his whole relationship with his parents which was wonderful.

Elaine was probably at her best with Puddy/Peterman and anything involving a "Get out!" but not quite in George's league.

George. His freak attacks made him hilarious in my eyes. His facial expressions and tackyness were classic. Eating an eclair out of the trash...ehehehee

That scene in the Alternate Side where he freaks about not having a job, women and parking cars for a living then yells "these pretzels are making me thirsty!!..ha ha" had me laughing on the floor. Everytime I think about that scene I smile.

George is the funniest, my favourite scene is when he tries to postpone his wedding to Susan and he suddenly breaks out into hystericaly camp crying!

They are both funny in different ways. But I would have to choose Elaine. George - he is wacky, is face is like plastic. And some of the classic Seinfeld quotes come from him, no doubt. Yet, sometimes, he annoyed me! Elaine - she changed from a submissive ex-gilfriend to a Woman, who loves sex, loves men, loves to dance with her thumbs, fights with George and intimidates Kramer. I think this dialogue (more or less acuratelly) says it all:

Ep. 77 - The Dinner Party: Elaine: "You, come with me...err... what's your name?" Jerry: "... Jerry...!"

Bottom line is: they are equally funny but Elaine was never boring.
