No, you're not. I love both shows. My guess as to what's going on with this disdain business: NE may not be as popular with the under 30 crowd as it is with those of us over 30, for whatever reason. Personally, I can't figure what's not to like about NE.

Well, I'm under 30 (though not under 25), and I like Seinfeld *and* NE. So there.
I'm 25, and I really love both shows. (And there have been very few TV shows in my life that I've liked enough to watch regularly.) I don't think they necessarily go together...I like them both for different reasons.
I think both shows make an attempt at showing a more honest look at life than TV traditionally shows though.
Hmmmm. I really liked Howard's End. Northern Exposure has become fairly dull this year, but it used to be good, IMO.
And, Seinfeld and RnS are my favorite TV shows. No accounting for tastes, I guess.
