Fans debate whether the Seinfeld finale is actually bad, with opinions sharply divided between those who think it's sophisticated satire and those who find it poorly written and disappointing.
Is anyone else experiencing what I am, that is, that as the hours have passed since the finale wrapped up, your feeling of much it sucked is actually growing.
I was sort of indifferent at first, then disappointed, now it seems to me that it just downright sucked.

You've missed the point entirely. The idea was not to have the tightest script they could write. Not at all. The idea was to, as you complain about, "make sure everyone who ever guested on the show got their obligatory fifteen seconds in the final episode." You disagree with what Larry David wanted to do with the finale, so you complain about it. Whatever.
Why do people have to be so disparaging of those who disagree with them? I really liked the last episode (and for all it matters, I've watched since the "Chronicles" era), but I don't think that the people who didn't like it are newbies, stupid, unsophisticated or anything else negative.
If you didn't like it, then you didn't like it. I like chocolate and hate licorice. I don't consider those opinions to make\ me either inferior or superior. It's just what I like.
They were on trial for being exactly the type of people that made the series a hit (and so unusual) for nine years. And they were found guilty. One of the classic standup comic techniques is to end with a comic reference to something from early in the set. The "second button" redux hit that mark. I liked it.
If you liked the finale, then it was a great ending to a great series. If you really liked the series and hated the finale, well, even Michael Jordan has off nights.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. :-)

But the finale is a separate episode. Like some others, it was below the average level of quality of the series and far below the level of the best shows I ever saw.
Yup, that "Kafke-esque aficionado" demographic is probably just what they were shooting for!!!! I can just see the network people selling ad spots based on that.
So, if you didn't watch this show before 1994, your opinion doesn't count? Ok, let's use that logic to determine who can voice their opinion on how the government is run by being allowed to vote in this country: A. How about excluding anyone whose ancestors came here after the founding of the country? B. How about anyone with little ability to truly appreciate the circumstances in which the colonists lived in 1775? Hmm, given your logic, choice A seems to cover both! Give me a break!
As people who have been here awhile know.....I've seen every show, excluding season 9, about 50 times each, so I'd say that I'm a diehard.......and I seriously considered changing the channel.....if it wasn't for wanting to get the last one on tape, to complete my collection, I probably would have.....the point is, don't try to generalize who liked it and who didn't.....in fact you may be completely backwards....perhaps people who aren't regulars would have liked it better cause they needed the little flashbacks. I've seen those shows to the point of memorization, don't give me flashbacks, I know what happened.......

Agreed. I would be interested in seeing any interview with any cast member where the interviewer asks their reaction to the genrally negative reviews the show received. (1/2 star in USA Today) This was one was right up there with the bombs India detonated. I think they should have ended it with the "flashback" show that aired before the finale. When it's rebroadcast Wednesday,commercial time should be about $1.25 a minute thereby giving advertisers their moneysworth. And I am a huge fan! Thank goodness for the older shows being rerun on our local Fox Channel in Chicago.
agreed - NOT A SINGLE PERSON WAS TALKING ABOUT THE EPISODE - Nothing worth remembering to talk about.
