Is Newman newman's frst name or last name

Can someone tell me if Newman was his first name or last name?

It's his first because when he enters Jerry's apartment he says "Hellllllllo Jerry." so Jerry would say his first name as Newman did to him. "Helllllllllllllllllllllo Newman." Norman is not part of his name. The joke with the farm daughter when she said "I love him, goodbye Norman." is how could she love him if she can't remember his first name. THE END

Nah -- it's definitely his last name. First of all, Newman IS a last name, and not a first name. And back before we found out Kramer's first name, everybody thought that it was his first name, too. We don't know what Newman's first name is.

I think Newman is his name. No first, no last. Remember when he gave his business card to the photo lab woman, it just said: NEWMAN. It's like Cher, or Madonna.

Newman's definitely the last name. In "The Ticket", the judge refers to him as "Mr. Newman". His first name was never revealed. End of story.
