George and Susan will not get married.
Fans debate whether George's relationship with Susan is ruining his character, with some arguing he needs to stay independent while others contend his personality remains consistent.
On yesterday`s episode on NBC, you could see once again that the relationship between George and Susan isn`t working. I hate to see "relationship Goerge" taking over or even destroying "independent George", so please you two, do NOT get married !!!!!!!

The posts relating to this topic are erroneus for several reasons. The first is that George has not changed signficantly since he began to redate Susan. In fact, he is acting exactly the same as he did when he first dated Susan and when he dates other girlfriend characters on the show. The only difference, is that Susan is George's fiancee and as important that is in reality, it is not signficant on the show (note the Tomei/Nixon Parody episode). The second is that George never changes and hasn't ever changed. His job may change, his life my change and he may have less hair, but his character is almost exactly the same as it was in the first season. I see no real differences (unlike Kramer and Elaine who have changed: Kramer is more important and vocal and Elaine is less pleasant and more forceful) or changes. Furthermore, when and if George and Susan break up and the engagement storyline ends, the show will detiorate greatly and not just for the obvious reason. How quickly we all forget how bad the episodes where last season; so bad in fact that both TV Guide and Jerry himself predicted THIS season would be the last one. But, fortunately or unfortunately depending on your point of view, the show will continue largely because the engagement storyline has reinvigorated it. I doubt too many people will read and consider this, but time will tell how right I am.
