This is really bugging me, so I must ask, even at the risk of wasting bandwidth. (But isn't bandwidth only wasted when it goes unused?) When last week's episode briefly showed the front of the library, which library was it? It looked more like the Metropolitan Museum of Art at 85th than the NY Public Library at 42nd. It's been a while since I lived in NYC, so help me, New Yorkers, you're my only hope. (That and continuing to take my Prosac.) I suspect I must be wrong, since if I were right, there would already have been 37 postings to this all-knowing/all-seeing group.

Viewers question which New York City landmark was shown in the Library episode, with debate about whether it was the Public Library at 42nd Street or the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

You are indeed wrong--it was the 42nd St. research library. Which of course brings up another problem--the 42nd St. library is not a lending library. You have to go to the Mid-Manhattan Branch (at 40th St) or one of the other branches to check out books.
'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure it is the NY Public Library. I seem to remember seeing a corner, and the NY PL is on a corner, while the Met really isn't. It just sits next to Central Park.
