Paroling Kramer

I believe Kramer deserves to get paroled becuase, hey, he was filming the robbery so they could use it as evidence later!

Speaking of Kramer at the trial, why didn't Newman who is supposed to be Kramer's best friend, care that he was being sent to prison? I realize that he would be glad to see Jerry get put away, and probably not care much one way or the other about the other two, but without Kramer, his life has little meaning. He should have taken the stand at some point in the trial and said something to the effect of do what you will with these others, but Kramer is a wonderful man who should be released immediately. Portraying such an emotional conflict would have had comic potential and would have also been realistic characterization. When Kramer gets out, won't he be pissed off that his supposed best buddy just sat there in the cout room and laughed and ate chips? Didn't even come to visit him?

I don't have a problem with the finale at all. The way I see it, Newman is such pure evil that he'd betray Kramer, his 'best friend', in a heartbeat. Why would that nasty, lazy slob put himself on the line to save Kramer? I think his silence fits in perfectly with his selfishness.

That's a good point. He IS selfish enough to betray anyone, but some of the episodes in the series seem to imply that his life revolves in almost every way around Kramer. Kramer is the only person who takes him seriously, listens to him, or helps him out (what Kramer sees in him is anybody's guess). Therefore, I just thought he might need Kramer for his own selfish interests. Not that I expected him to be altruistic.

Of course, then the prosecution might have been able to bring up the dognapping incident, the borrowed mail truck, etc.

IF you recall the last time we saw newman was when he was in the accident with the wagon (that chinese thingie)that him and Kramer were having homeless people drive. he went flying into traffic and Kramer took off. thats why i belived the rumors of the last eposide taht he was in the hospital.......but than again Newman mention he learn of the trip to paris from Kramer so i guess they were on a talking basis again....hmm never mind
