I'm having a big discussion with a friend of mine about the number of Seinfeld releases. How many are there made?? Does anybody know the actual number?? A dutch fan

If you count double episodes like The Pilot and The Cadillac as 2 episodes, the magic number is 180.

Actually I think it is 177 according to several websites I visited and that is including the 2 hour episodes (counted as 2 for each hour) I think the missing ones are the Puerto banned from TV but I'm not sure where everyone is getting the other two

160 half-hour episodes + 8 two-part episodes (which aired as 16 half-hour episodes) + 2 two-part clip shows (which air as 4 half-hour episodes) = 180.

It doesn't get any simpler.

According to the May 4, 1998 issue of Entertainment Weekly, which lists every episode and gives a brief synopsis of each, there were 169 episodes of the show. Of course when you ask affiliates which ones they will show, they don't tell you "oh we're showing #103 tonight". They say instead #609, meaning 6th season-9th show. I hope this helps. I used season 6 as an example because that is the one season that I need the majority of these episodes on tape. I have almost completed my episode library.
