You're not kidding! They're moving into some dark territory this season. I love the scene when Kramer goes to Frank's house and he starts telling his story. That is something you won't see on any other comedy (not that there are too many others worth watching).
Was Frank's telling of the story and the flashback a reference to a movie (e.g. Apocalypse Now)?
"The Bizarro Jerry" and "The Little Kicks" were also good.
