Oh, I'm hoping someone can help me here. A few weeks ago I was flipping channels and saw an old (I'm guessing late 40's) movie with Yves Montand in it and my eyes about popped out of my head when I saw his hair! I mean, he's not the handsomest man in the world anyway, and with this hairdo he looked positively from outer space. It was exactly like Kramer's only more extreme. Well, let me back up. It was more extreme in terms of height, but perhaps a shade "neater?" Anyway, after gawking and laughing to myself for a bit I flipped onto another channel.
Later I was telling my grown son who's a sort of movie buff about what I saw. He flat out does not believe me -- well, let's say he's having a difficult time believing I saw what I say I saw. He says, "They didn't wear their hair like that back then!" (Like he knows??)
Does anyone happen to know which movie this might have been -- or has anyone seen any old films of Yves Montand with this outrageous hairstyle? I watched the movie just long enough to realize it wasn't a comedy and that he was playing the leading man (or at least the male ingenue part - gulp).
