to all those who still believe that seinfeld is all "no hugs; no lessons:"

i haven't seen too many hugs on the show, but here are some of the lessons i learned by watching the show: - always double-check your photograph in personalized christmas cards - smell the valet before giving him the keys - install plexiglass in auditorium style operating rooms - when trying to impress your boss, never stare at his daughter's cleavage - sometimes trivial pursuit answers have typos - keep on eye on your raisons at all times

any more???

and i think there were plenty of "hugs and lessons" type sitcoms that were long-time #1 smash hits (even today).

The one that I've used several time since learning it:

When seeing a long line, I always ask "Is this the line for people who already have tickets, or to buy tickets?" and NEVER ask "Do you have a ticket?"

  • If you're going to read Glamour, lock the door.
  • Never impersonate an Irishman at the airport.
  • Sit in First Class.
  • Airlines do not accept polaroids of you with the coffin.
  • Don't have sex with the cleaning lady. That kind of thing is frowned upon.
  • Remember where you parked.
  • Never discount the possibility of a second spitter.

They could be in the wrong line; then you would be, too. 8-)
