I don't understand. There are those who say this finale was a farce, that Seinfeld will return in a year and pick up with the gang getting out of jail. There are others who say those fans who believe this will happen are living in a dream world and might as well face the reality that Seinfeld is gone for good. I say it is pointless to even debate this subject. For nine seasons now, viewers have been trying to second guess what the show will do........with new characters, new plots, yada yada yada. For weeks before the final, many fans thought that Jerry and Elaine would end up married. This show is well know for its unconventional ideas and surprises. I don't think ANYONE can possibly guess the outcome of this debate. We will all just have to wait and see, and in the meantime, we will watch the reruns and reminisce about seasons past.
By the way, I liked the finale: it was unlike any other episode and completely unexpected.
