Norwegian fan

I am Rune from Norway ( actually from Lillehammer ) and I am a great fan of the Seinfeld series. Seinfeld has been broadcasted in Norway for about 6 months now and the program's popularity has increased steadily for every episode. In Norway Seinfeld is on every Thursday, and we've last seen the episode where Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer steal a handicapped parking spot at the mall to buy a wedding present to their "good" friend The Drake.

My question is : Are we far behind you guys?

My favourite scene: When Kramer looses the bet about not having sex and throws in $100 after only 15 minutes! Great.

Listen Rune, in answer to your question: the episode you mentioned was aired here (in Canada) 1 or 2 years ago. I forget exactly when, but definitely not this year/season. Hope you continue to enjoy the show.

When you say 'not having sex', do you mean 'not masturbating'? That was what the episode was about, and I was wondering if maybe it was changed (on purpose?) in the translation. (if in fact the show is translated) If that is the case, they may have ruined one of the all-time greatest Seinfeld episodes.

To answer your question, "The Handicap Spot" aired in North America on MAY 13, 1993. It was episode #60. The last new SEINFELD episode to appear in North America was "The Wife" -- episode # 78.

As far as the comments about Norweigan understanding of SEINFELD, let me just recount the following joke:

What do you call someone who speaks four (4) languages? -- Quadralingual

What do you call someone who speaks three (3) languages? -- Trilingual

What do you call someone who speaks two (2) languages? -- Bilingual

And what do you call someone who speaks one (1) language? -- American
