Fruit Boxes at Joe's stan

TK>In the mango episode when they are in the fruit store where Jerry and TK>Kramer get banned, there are some boxes on shelves labled "LTD". These are TK>what peaches, plums and nectarines etc from LTD Packers get shipped in to TK>the stores. LTD fruit originates near the town where I went to High School. TK>I have a lot of friends that worked summers packing LTD fruit. LTD tries to TK>push that their fruit is special because it is packed by the families that TK>grow it, and the fruit gets picked into buckets where they say it gets TK>better tender loving care than fruit that gets picked into big bins.

That's interesting to know. Kind of a sidetrack of that episode: I was watching my tape of it the other day and I read that sign behind the counter that said something like, "Prices subject to change according to customer's attitude." or something similar to that.

Up until recently, I used to live in New York City. I lived on Broadway and 112th street. On the corner is the restaurant that Jerry, Elaine, and George frequent on the show. It's actually called Tom's Restaurant, but the way the film it from the corner you only see the words RESTAURANT wrapped around the corner. It is actually a great diner! It's kind of famous, especially among the Columbia Univ. crowd. The singer Susan Vega wrote a song called, Tom's Diner, about this place. It does not look the same on the inside; however, as it does on the show. It is actually delightfully cheesy decor... Big plants sitting in pie tins.. garish lights... It's great!
