I've been watching Seinfeld over the last few years and I've noticed that its starting to lose something..
Basically what I've noticed is that although some of the individual pieces of the story are still classics, the tying together of these pieces is getting pretty lame..
Example-1: In the Wigmaster, the Kramer musical pimp walk at the end of the show and subsequent arrest for pimping is one of the funniest scenes in Seinfeld history. But the rest of the show wasn't that good.. The beginning of the show was needed to lay the foundation for the pimp-walk payoff, but it could have been better.
Example #2: In the Little Jerry, there were a few more great scenes (when Kramer thought the roosters wore gloves and helmets - like American Gladiators, & Jerry & Kramer training the rooster) but the whole George/jailbird, & Elaine/bald guy sub-plots weren't that funny..
Example #3 Babu...... Need i say more?
Good Examples: The Trip has gotta be one of the best episodes where things are happening and getting tied up with smoothness..
Also episodes where theres really not a lot of trying to tie-up (Soup Nazi), the episodes are usually good..
Maybe I'm just biased with a Kramer oriented sense of humor, and maybe I have nothing better to do than write this, but I just feel that the magic of Seinfeld is fading... (the magic being the good tying together of good subplots)
I still watch the show for the classic moments, so it's not like I'm ready to bail on the show at all...I just want to see if anyone else agrees with my view
