Did anyone believe LA rumor anyway?

Did anyone ever really believe that rumor that the finale was going to have all the characters moving to LA? As soon as I heard it, I knew it couldn't be true. Seinfeld IS New York. Such a New York show...it would be nothing short of sacreligious to have the gang give up their favorite city, especially not for LA. I just read that Jerry is immediately moving back here as soon as the last episode is finished. No. It was too bland and non- Larry David. It also didn't leave room for a group of previous characters to return, and it reaked of a decoy.
