Kramer as Ed Norton

I've been noticing more and more the similarities between Michael
Richards' Kramer and Art Carney's Ed Norton of the Honeymooners.  Norton
was Ralph Kramdens (Jackie Gleason) strange buddy who lived up stairs.
Norton always made a startling entrance into the Kramden appartment.  He
also helped himself to what was in the refridgerator, whether Ralph was
there or not.  Once, he even ate, mistakenly, some dog food that Ralph's
wife Alice (Audrey Meadows) left in the fridge.
	The other night while I was watching the rerun of the Seriel Killer,
when Kramer is given the third degree and breaks down, he starts
whimpering/crying a la Ed Norton (who got much of his schtick, BTW, from
Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy).  So iÝ is interesting that in comedy
like many other forms of art, there is really nothing new under the sun.
I've written in this group before about the similarities between George
and Ralph Kramden.  In the Independent George episode  and George begins
to lose it in anger, he is very much Ralph losing it over one of a
number of things.
			I love the Seinfeld program, and am even more impressed that they are
influenced by other comedey that I consider to be some of the most
brilliant as well.
