I think he's unsure of his sexuality.
There have been those times where things happen that scare him....like getting the massage from a guy and then saying "I think it moved".
Like......if people hate gay people, I think that it's because they have some gay tendency, and in the back of their mind they know it, and they hate it, so it's not actually gay people they hate, it's themselves.
George doesn't hate gay people, but still, there is the fear.
I suspected that my neighbour was gay, but now I know he isn't.
When I had sex with him, he cried the whole time.

I don't think George is gay. He was afraid to sit alongside Jerry in the car even and Elaine made fun of him cause he did not even like to sit near a guy.
