Hello All.... Strange event...
Wow, I took a nap on Saturday. I awoke about 8:15pm and turned on the tv and heard the typical "noise" from a sit-com. People talking loudly, some sort of banter occurring and then one person leaves. The next line is:
"My gawd, I'm glad that's over, I was starting to get chest
pains."I was startled. What? I heard that exact same line just a couple of days ago somewhere. Same set up, too.
TV Guide says the program I tuned into is "Cafe Americain," which I have not watched before.
(My gosh, should I be writing in the deja vu conference?) <g>
The next scene was two women talking about something while walking, maybe into the house and down the hall; yak yak yak, one was saying how she went here, there, did this, that, with some guy, long sentence, and last remark was, "...and then we had sex." Truly it sounded like something Elaine would say, in a similar tone of voice.
I thought I also recognized this set-up for a scene - although the scene in "Cafe Americain" time was not a re-run for me. The similarity was just the beginning stated above.
[It did seem a bit much when the guy comes along and the woman who did NOT have sex with him tries not to be jealous - one comment she made was, "well, you can diddle anyone you want." The audience was going "ohhhh" and giggling somewhat awkwardly through the scene (or so I thought). But this bracketed statement is beside the point.]
'Scuze me for being verbose. I thought maybe someone might recognize this for the main question which is about the line "My gawd, I'm glad that's over, I was starting to get chest pains." I am *sure* that was in another sit-com very recently.
