Man, I posted to this newsgroup and it seems to be superhighway roadkill. Totally lost.
Anyway, I said something brilliant about how even though the show is supposed to be about nothing, it is very plotty now,but i think they have raised the plot thing to new heights, if you look at the four different major stories that were interwoven in the Pie episode:
Jerry: Pie George: the suit, the job, the mannequin, the pie Elaine: the mannequin Kramer: the spatula scratcher, the mannequin
Then I said that Jerry has yet to go out with a non-neurotic girl, but I'm sure that's been observed before.
Then I said that even though we never find out why she wouldn't eat the pie, it is only a plot device and fiction, so like Kramer's first name, there is no answer, but here are some possibilities, because I know people are going to debate this if they picked apart the cookie blooper so extensively:
-eating disorder (but she did eat pie and other food) -she didn't like to eat off someone's plate--germ phobia -she knew when to stop eating: when she was full -she's just plain NUTS, like all of Jerry's other girlfriends!
Also, there was a gross things theme here: -the spatula -the tainted dough -tainted pie
By the way, I love Elaine, but I don't have to be a law student to figure out that, well, wasn't stealing a mannequin slightly ILLEGAL? Do we want this on tv to influence real life mega-babes?
