Not sure about the big red sign, but apparently the event name is on the participant's T-shirts and on some signage. Does the big red sign have it? This has just been a trivia stumper, so I come here for my final answers. Thanx.

I believe that all it said was something along the lines of: 10th Annual AIDS WALK New York Would have to watch the episode again to confirm exactly what it says, but any excuse works with me.

Just checked, the sign says AIDS WALK NEW YORK. The T-shirts have the 10th annual prefix and the year 1995 and some smaller writing that is very hard to make out when watching through divx.
