Seinfeld & Laurel & Hardy

I absolutely loved it when Jerry tells George "Good-night Ollie" when they are in a motel room and are about to fall asleep. I believe this is the episode in which Kramer guides a woman in a Miss USA pageant.

For people who didn't understand this line, it comes from Laurel & Hardy classic movies. Stan Laurel always told Oliver Hardy "Good-night Ollie" whenever they tried to sleep(notice I said "tried" because they always ran into some problems).

I believe that the best comedy team of all time is the team of Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy and I am very proud that a mega-popular and hilarious show such as Seinfeld contains references to them!!

P.S. As well, in the show "Friends", there is a picture of Laurel & Hardy in Chandler's apartment!!! Another example of a popular show respecting the greatest comedy team of all time!!!!

That might be true, except that "Friends" is a pretty lame comedy even for television. The characters are so cute and cuddly that you want to throttle them. There is nothing cute about "Seinfeld". In my opinion "Seinfeld" is funny because there is an element of truth and reality about the characters.
