Kramer's fruit

I have a question for my fellow Seinfans...OK...in the episode where Kramer gets kicked out of the fruit store & makes Jerry go in for him to buy fruit...what was the name of that fruit he ate all the time? It looked like a banana I think. I had never heard of it & I thought I might like to try it. I can't recall what it was called though...does anyone out there know? (I tried the Muligatawny(sp?) soup he likes so much but I didn't care for it ) OH! Also, does anyone happen to have a recipe for paella? :)

I think it was called a Plantane (approx. spelling).

I think the fruit that Kramer liked was the plantain. (and he liked to fry it up in a pan.)
