Has anyone out there ever applied a concept or idea from Seinfeld to real life? I have been doing the George "showmanship" thing for a while and it works pretty well.

Talking in the third person...it really throws people off...Joe thinks that's really entertaining...

not exactly...but i constantly see little fragments of my life on the show. for example, the episode where george and elaine are becoming friends, and they have nothing to talk about. this perfectly captured what it's like to socialize with people you have nothing in common with. that was the great thing about seinfeld. besides having really interesting, believable characters, and great post-modern storylines, the show took great snapshots of what it's like to be alive right now.
I tried George's opposite thing. Where he does the opposite of his intuition. It was different. I would reccomend it.

I've just watched "The Pledge Drive" again, and the next time I get my hands on a donut, biscuit, or chocolate bar, I'm taking them off it and eating it with a knife and fork.
BTW: For those Americans who are getting confused; a biscuit is what you call a cookie!
Hmmm..We confused Americans refer to a "biscuit" as a treat for our dogs..thanks for the translation!
Also that white fluffy thing that sits on the plate next to our KFC chicken.

I get why "crisps" are potato chips but how do they get "fag" from cigarette?
Five magical words to end a relationship:
"It's not you, it's me."
I've taken a fond linking to muffin tops myself.
When I bring down the house or something, I'll get up and do the "thank you, and goodnight!" thing and do a mock walk-out. It is good to leave 'em wanting more. Also, friends pick apart/label people into a category---"bad breaker-upper","low-talker",etc.,but we have been doing that for years. AND-- I tried to do the opposite thing for awhile, but at some point, you forget, and eventually stop.

Well that's totally Seinfeld. Because *obviously* in the period between the end of season 5 and the start of season 6, George did *exactly* the same.
Brian (a little disappointed that a series, as minutely-precise about so much as Seinfeld, neglected to offer any explanation for the death of George's new "religion")
Regifting.

But that's not from Seinfeld - George used a "Glamour" magazine.
I wear boxers.
Boxers! How do you wear these things!! Look at that--they're baggin' up, they're rising in! An' there's nothing holding me in place! I'm flippin! I'm floppin'! :-)

Speaking of Glamour, did anyone else notice that in the episode with the Drake, in the scene where the old ladies are playing a board game, that George starts reading Glamour?
