This is what we know about Kramer's name. (Taken from the episode where Kramer and Elaine get the jacket back.
The landlord refers to Kramer's mother as Babs Kramer. I think we can assume that 'Kramer' is at least his last name. This is not to rule out the possibility that his first name is ALSO 'Kramer.'

Kramer is his last name. Mr. is his first name (just like Mr., i.e., Em Ahr period, is Mr. T's fist name).
His mother's first name is Mrs.

OK, I'll go along with that. I figure when he was born, the hospital put a tag on him saying something like "Baby Kramer" and when he got older, they had to drop the Baby part, and he remained Kramer :)
Noway, we got proof from the episode where he and Elaine got his jacket back (and I mean JACKET, not coat! and any of you netland folx who ever typed in "coat" in reference to this article of clothing, I'm talking to you! It's a jacket!!! That's what everyone on the show called it. :) :) ). The landlord complained about the jacket guy's girlfriend, Babs Kramer aka Mrs. Kramer, aka Kramer's mom.

Well she was tagged "Baby Kramer," too, but when she grew up it migrated from "Baby" to "Babe" to "Babes" to "Babs". Isn't that obvious? :-)

In one episode (I think it was the one where Kramer got booted-to-the-head), George & Jerry are in the cafe talking. George was explaining how someone had called out to Kramer on the street, and he demonstrated: "Hey ____!". The missing word didn't sound like "Kramer". Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Was this a clue to his real first name?
Just to drag this topic out a little further, during last season's final show, Jerry called Kramer's mother to ask where Kramer disappeared to. She was drunk and playing some sort of Italian music too loud and Jerry was trying to get her attention by shouting, "MRS. KRAMER! MRS. KRAMER!" in the phone.
BTW, did anyone notice that Kramer's movie 'treatment' in LA was entitled "THE KEYS"? (The tough cop finds a copy on the dead woman's body.)
