I read a short article in the NY Post last week about a Soup Nazi imposter. Apparantly, this guy has set up a little soup stand and is billing himself as "The World Famous Soup Guy." His advertisements even say something like, "You've seen him on Seinfeld, now try his soup!"
To make the whole situation even odder, the soup stand is located inside of a Kenny Roger's Roasters.
Does anyone know anything about this? What is the connection between Kenny Roger's and Seinfeld?

Kenny Rogers' Roasters was featured on "Seinfeld" this season, with its huge red neon sign. Jerry and Kramer switched apartments and personalities, Kramer tried to boycott the chicken b/c of the sign but then got hooked on it, etc.

Al, the REAL Soup Guy is fighting back! Well, sort of. On a wall to the left of his stand at 259A 55th Street he has a small poster stating (in his own pecuilar phases) that this is only original Soup Kitchen International and that he is not in business with anyone else.
He goes on to talk about "the passion and soul" that he puts into his soup and how he searches the world for the best ingrediants. This little tempest in a soup pot has not seemed to hurt his business any. I went there three times last week and there were lines of "Soup Nutsies" waiting for the rapture, as always.
All stepping smartly to the left, of course.
