Kramer's Apartment?

When was Kramer's apartment on? I would love to see that place!

I don't think they've ever shown an entire shot of his apartment. They've shown tight shots of things in his apartment (the stain) or external shots from Jerry's apartment across the hall, but evidentally, his apartment doesn't even exist on the set, which just adds to the mystery of his character. But there was a TV report show that showed the apartment of what the "real Kramer"'s apartment looks like (the guy who the character is based on).

And the cigarette didn't go out either! If I smoked, I'd have to practice that. Cancer isn't worth it, though.

Why would it? He smoked a cigarette while simultaneously drinking a beer; he didn't dunk the cigarette _in_ the beer.

You try it. The glass is full of CO2 and beer, neither of which supports combustion very well.

Its very simple. The lit end of the cigarette didn't go into the beer (it was to the side of the glass), and there is never combustion on the end that's in your mouth. I don't even smoke and I know that.

I still maintain that you should try it. a) It would be tough to keep it out of the beer. b) the C02 from the beer would (might) be a hassle to keep the cigarette burning.

And that is what makes it so damn funny, the fact that it can't be done by mortal men, but Michael Richards pulls it off.

I agree completely! The other guy, however, seemed to think that it was a perfectly normal thing to do, and I was just explaining why I felt as you do.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Kramer's apartment has been shown on a few episodes. The last time I remember them "really" showing it was when Kramer was bragging about his wood wallpaper. He wanted the "natural" look.

If anbody else watches "Mad About You" (TV's only other intelligent sitcom), there was an episode that reveals a bit of Kramer Apartment lore...In the episode, the couple were talking about things they couldn't give up (or rather were daring each other to give up); in Paul's case, it was the bachelor apartment where he had lived before marrying Jamie. At one point, he went over to pick up some things, and it's then we discover that the guy he's subletting the apartment to is Kramer! I knew all these TV characters knew each other *somehow*...maybe this is what Ozzie NellsonW did for a livin renting out houses...anyway.

I don't remember his apartment being shown in that episode (I'll have to go back and watch it to make sure)

To my knowledge, Kramer's apartment has been shown only 3 or 4 times from the inside. Sometimes you can see over his sholder when he is standing in the door way. They showed him lying in bed a few times (The Contest). And *the* only time I remember the camera ever being inside his apartment is when Elaine tells her theripist that she is dating Kramer (and can't date him), and she goes over to Kramer's to try to convince him to go along with it. She was sitting on his couch, and it was a total mess in there. Papers and stuff all over the place (I think Kramer knocked over a lamp while sitting there).

I don't think that they actually "showed" the inside of Kramer's apartment. Another thing that adds to the fact that it doesn't exist is in the episode about the circumcision, where at the end, the parents want Kramer to be the godfather. They go across to Kramer's apartment where both parents say, "Godfather!"... it looks like a prop closet, and on the wall is a B/W picture of Jerry, and I *DOUBT* Kramer would have a picture of him on his wall. :^)

Didn't they show Kramer's apt. in the marine biologist episode when kramer was trying to get the sand out....... I guess it was a really brief shot
