actually I think the biggest studio laugh was at the end of "The Puffy Shirt" where they walk out of the coffee house and the bums are wearing the puffy shirts. You can clearly hear a woman go "oh my god!"

that's funny.

Yes, but, and I believe someone mentioned this scene before as their own favorite (it is my favorite as well) the "Magic Loogie," as I recall, got one heck of an audience laugh...the applauding when they show Kramer being "struck" still sticks out in my mind...a classic scene, and just one of the many reasons why "The Boyfriend" is my favorite episode...

I got the biggest laugh when (bear with me because I don't know the name or number of the episode) it was the one when George broke up with Susan and he said going up the stairs of her apt. was like going to a prison. He finally managed to break up with her and later was dying to go back, would give ANYTHING to be going up those stairs again...(Hold on I'm getting there...) Anyway eventually he gets back with her and as he's walking up those stairs all the reasons why he didn't want to be there in the first place came back to him as he was reaching the top. It went something like that. Ok well I thought that was funny because isn't that soooo true to life??? We always want what we can't have.
