Seinfeld Clones

Did anyone see the pilot for a new sitcom called "Starting Over" or something like that. It's about a divorced man who moves into a apartment and attempts to begin his life over again.

Fairly basic premise, right? The only thing wrong with the show is that it almost mirrors the Seinfeld show format. The direction is almost identical, the way they cut to different cameras is the same as Seinfeld, they have a catchy musical intro while showing the outside of this guy's apartment (not really a new idea, I know). Try watching it and then tell me that the show isn't trying to be another Seinfeld.

Other similarities: Newman is the guy's neighbour. Produced by Castle Rock Entertainment (what isn't these days).

Whether it is a clone or not, I can't say, but I found it to be reasonably funny, with a bit of promise. The show, by the way, is called "The Second Half". The show beforehand, called "Daddy Dearest", I found decidedly unfunny.

	I agree that "The Second Half" is a pretty funny show, however the
show before it is not "Daddy Dearest", but is in fact "The John Larroquette
Show", which my roommates and I thought was very funny.

Depends which network you watch. I saw Larroquette the day before, and mildly enjoyed it, but I don't think it will last for long.
