Well I finally saw the Slicer last night after missing the first run last fall. Everyone spoke so highly of the episode that I was almost disappointed in the show (that always seems to happen-- too much build up.) Still there were memorable moments, most notably Elaine doing those "little kicks" to the great Foghat anthem "Slow Ride." I would liked to have seen more of Marcia Crosses character. Very good nonetheless.

You certainly lived up to your name if you were able to watch the entire episode!
The episode epitomizes why this great show now sucks completely. It's sad...although six-seven great years out of nine is four or five more than 95% of other shows achieve. But I hope that the NG people here generally agree that the characters are no longer 'normal' with quirks; they are just borderline retards and maniacs now. It really is sad.

I found this episode very amusing if not a classic. The characters were within their norm ( which is not to say our norm), and Elaine did a great dance sequence, Kramer was Dr. Von Nostrum, and the opening 4 in-a-bed scene was hysterical. alt showbiz gossip
I thought this episode was hilarious, "Whoa, that's a lot of Potatoes!" :), although seasons 2 through seven were better, this season hasn't been that bad, with the exception of "The Dealership", a lame attempt to re-create the hilarity of "The Chinese Restaurant".
I dont think it's so much that this season is that bad ,as it is that the more you watch and enjoy the show the more you expect out of the next episode.Generally as you your waiting for the next new show the anticipation tends to build you up for a let down .Like its been said here before, Seinfeld episodes are always better in rerun.
