Tons of hype for 2/20 epsiode.

Well, Thursdays episode was supposed to be a classic, atleast that's what Jerry Seinfeld and NBC thought. This episode seemed to get allot of hype. Jerry was on The Tonight Show talking about it, he was also on Entertainment Tonight. Also, NBC had this wild promo for the show saying, "...in the tradition of The Soup Nazi and Master of Your Domain...", they acted as if this new episode was going to be a classic. Was it? Hardly. All you had to do was watch the rerun that was on that same day. The Marine Biologist was a genius epsiode, far better than the new one.

I agree that several of the more recent Seinfeld episodes have been below par. However I think that the Soup Nazi episode is the best episode ever - elaines speech at the end when she has the recipes is a classic moment. - NEXT!

I thought Seinfeld was being sarcastic when he said that "..they seem to like it." Since his show is the #1 rated comedy on TV, it's pretty obvious that the fans like the show (that was kind of a dumb question for Jay Leno to ask, but hey, this is Jay Leno we're talking about).

And I think if the "fans" didn't like the show's direction, it wouldn't be the king of the ratings lot. IMHO, I doubt Jerry Seinfeld cares what a bunch of overanalyzing nitpickers on the internet think of his show. (not you personally)

I think February is sweeps month - where the ratings are tested. That may have a lot (TWO WORDS FOLKS) to do with the hype? Anyone know if that is true? that is true?
