Apple Pie!!

WHY didn't Jerry's girlfriend eat some of the apple pie when we know she loves it???

Or maybe she saw Jerry stick the fork in his mouth, and then cut the pie. I know when I was a kid I wouldn't touch something if someone else "wanted a taste" and put their own spoon in it. But then again, I was just a kid....

I might sample something from some completely untouched portion of the food, carefully removed with an unused knife, fork, or spoon. As for Poppie not washing his hands, as fussy as I am about not eating from someone else's plate, you can imagine how I felt about that! Plus the fact that I worked in hotels for over 35 years and know a bit about food sanitation. I actually shuddered at that washroom scene.

Not knowing where someone's hands've been is reason enough not to eat from someone elses' plate, but culturally speaking, I've seen others of the Oriental race to eat from each other's plate and think nothing of it.

You mean to tell me that there are people out there who have done this that---and the other --with someone and wouldnt eat from their plate or fork..?? Sharing food..?? I think that is so intimate.....

I wouldn't be so intimate as to share someone else's toothbrush, let alone eat off the same implement. You think it's intimate to share germs. That's how the colds and flu's get spread around. YUK!

Why didn't Jerry eat any pizza? He was obviously grossed out. There must be a similar reason why she didn't eat the apple pie. We know she wasn't full.

Someone else's fork was in it after they had said fork in their mouth, ergo someone elses's germs in the pie.

She could've just eaten from the side of the pie Jerry didn't touch with his fork. Or she could have been full and didn't want any pie.

The apple ploy was just a cheap way to build suspence. Ask a question & go out of the way not to answer it. The same deal with Elaine's medical records.

I'm glad they stress hygene at Arizona State University. At ,let's say Harvard, they're just plain pigs!

I learned hygiene long before attending Arizona State University. Crap, I work in food service for 4COL! I worked in a hospital in NY, 4COL! I lived in a large family, 4COL! If none of that teaches you anything about hygiene practices, nothing will!

Anyone who hasn't learned at an early age to wash their hands after going to the toilet or any other thing, is a filthy pig in my book, whether he/she went to Harvard, Yale, or wherever! You shouldn't have to learn about hygiene at the college level. It should be ingrained at an early age.

Anyway, on to Seinfeld stuff. I also liked the episode where Poppie didn't wash his hands. I laughed when Jerry returned to his seat, after having seen Poppie leave without washing his hands, and saw Poppie give him a smile, like he was doing some special for Jerry. I also found the way that the daughter kept saying, "You're not going to try a piece?" quite funny. She seemed so sincere.
