the standup part-gone!

If nobody knows this, I heard that they are getting rid of Jerry's standup routines all together.

Well I do know this. In syndication they can show more commercials. Some of the Seinfeld episodes omit the original monolog and put the opening credits over the acual show. (Cheers doeos this too. The Simpsons edits the opening theme.) Sometimes the end credits are over tyhe last part of the show and not on a black screen. This means that the shows in sindication are not exactly the same as when the network aired them. They might end the monolog on the network shows to make a smooth transition to syndication.

I just heard this little tidbit of trivia myself and I must confess that I will be supremely disappointed when this change in the program format takes place. Jerry's stand-up routine segments are always funny, and often, incorporate part of the plot of the episode. A mistake for the show, IMHO.
