Veronica's Closet....it's not bad

Why are you all critisizing VERONICA's closet? it's the best new NBC show of the year(not much competition) and it has potential. It isn't great now, but it has only had 5 episodes, which have been pretty good. Give it a chance

Since they start VC immediately after Seinfeld ends, I have gotten to see the first 2 minutes of each of the 5 episodes. Other than the chance of seeing Kirstie Alley in a negligee, I didn't see a reason to keep watching.

Then since you havn't seen it, you really can't judge it good or bad, can you. Give it a chance before you decide that it's lame.

Veronica's closet is obviously the product of gay writers and producers. I imagine people will object to this comment and I am not saying it to merely be offensive. There's no question that the product is different, that's all. And it's usually not interesting to me. Heterosexual relationships are portrayed in a very skewed way. To give the show credit, I would say that they are more straightforward about this then other shows that suffer from this problem, such as Mad About You and Friends. Ok go ahead... flame on.

Couldn't be...gay people are MUCH funnier than this show

Hey, it's not all canned laughter now. Remember, these new shows trying to make often PAY people to come watch. Any canned laughter that is used is because by the 3rd take or more, nobody can make themselves laugh at most of the one-liners and wisecracks.

Sorry I gave that impression, Mike. I never used the word 'lame'. And I don't think my post was judgemental in any way. As far as 'giving it a chance', well, I'd rather not. It may be a fine show, but there's Thursday night college football on ESPN, and I've got my priorities.

verionica's closet won't make a second season, and can't we take this to some other group?

funnier. It seems every episode is the same to me. Always about her ex. I find "Union Square" a lot funnier. I find myself laughing more watching that. I can't sit through "Veronica's Close"t anymore. Jack Pappas (the cook, don't know the actors name), on "Union Square " is a talented actor. Jon B.
