Fans debate whether the waitress in the episode intentionally gave George the finger or if he was being paranoid, with discussion of cultural differences in gesturing.
I'm watching the Pledge Drive episode and I've seen it countless times before and it always seemed like George was overeacting thinking that the waitress was purposefully giving him the finger. Tonight while watching it I noticed that whenever the waitress speaks to George there's a coolness to her voice like she's annoyed and doesn't like George, she doesn't sound that way when seaking to Kramer or Jerry. So was it meant to be intentional?
