Fans defend Season 7 as strong with standout episodes like "The Soup Nazi" and "The Pool Boy," disputing claims it's the worst season, though one poster missed "The Sponge."

I have read some posts that denigrate the current "Seinfeld" season (#7) as the worst, and I am here today to present a rebuttal. Episodes like "The Soup Nazi" and "The Pool Boy" rank with the all-time great "Seinfelds." Also outstanding were the episodes with the marathon runner, the one where Kramer is helping renovate the old movie theatre and George wears the Henry VIII costume, the one where George drives Steinbrenner crazy with the smell of calzone coming from his office ("Big Stein wants a calzone!"), the "Bosco" episode, "The Doll, "The Marble Rye," the one where Jerry buys his dad a Caddy, and a bunch of others that I've probably forgotten.

The only disposable episodes were "The Friar's Club" (my vote for all-time worst episode) and the season finale. Otherwise, it's been a pretty good year, as we'll soon see in syndication.

I would tend to agree with you, but your argument was missing something very important, which I'm sure you just forgot. If season #7 wasn't the worst one, which was? It's hard to pick one out since any given season of Seinfeld is better than most seasons of any show.

Actually, I didn't forget "The Sponge." I just haven't seen it! I missed it BOTH times it was on! :-( It's probably the ONLY "Seinfeld" episode I haven't seen. I'll have to wait for it in syndication. Oh, well...

The Showerhead and The Caddy were 2 other classics. There is a slight chance that the Sponge may be shown for a 3rd time this season. So far 4 episodes (The Maestro, The Wink, The Secret Code and The Pool Guy) have been shown 3 times. According to my computations Seinfeld will air 6 more times on Thursdays before the new season starts. There are still 5 episodes that have yet to be repeated leaving one week for one to be shown a 3rd time (my bet is that The Soup Nazi will be repeated again). Then there is a chance that they will air Seinfeld on some other night as well. They did that once before this season.
