Fans praise Elaine's stylish Bose clock radio from the episode and discuss the music played on it, with some noting Elaine should have turned it down during a phone call.

Whatever anyone wants to say about Elaine's later bitterness, she still owns that stylish Bose clock radio. So tasteful, so stylish. How better to listen to "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" really loudly!

And I love Foghat's "Slow ride"!

But why didn't Elaine turn the radio down while she was on the phone?? [email] (Hammer nail here--> <-- for a new monitor.) (Remove XXXX to reply)

Mr. Limbaugh also put Snapple on the map. Snapple has been mentioned a few times by name on the Seinfeld program. Just an observation.

When I saw Snapple advertised on Howard Stern's tv show I thought it was some sort of fake product that they made up just for his show. I never knew that it was real until our local grocery store started carrying it.

I drink Snapple, but not because it's Snapple. These days, there's a
hundred companies that make bottled teas and juices. The label doesn't
matter. I would say that Snapple had more to do with Snapple's success
than anyone else whether it be Seinfeld, Stern, or (yeesh) Limbaugh.

I thought Howard Stern was responsible for putting Snapple on the map, going way back to his channel 9 television show.

If you were to suggest to a major corporation that they pass over the Limbaugh show to advertise on Sterns show, they would fire you. (this would be like having the opportunity to advertise with Seinfeld, but instead going with Rosanne). Read the part in Sterns book where he mentions his wife and what she let him do on the first date. Old Howard stern, a real class act. (Check the dedication for the reference). He may have had a hand in promoting Snapple, but to imply that he played a bigger part than Mr. Limbaugh is not realistic.

Howard Stern made Snapple a success, thats a fact. He started promoting it in 1989 on his channel 9 show. The original owners credit him with the success. They were selling it in one store in NY, than Stern started plugging it.It slowly took off.Thats A fact, not a fabrication. Anyone who has listened to Stern for awhile knows this, and has seen it rise. I grew up in NY, and its common knowledge that he is the reason for a lot of their success. You would definitely know that If you listened to Stern for about 8 years and lived in NY. Jon B.

Howard Stern is now available in Canada (...pitty...)

I can't listen to him for 8 minutes. How could you listen to him for 8 years?

I never said Howard Stern was responsible for the success of Snapple, or that he played a bigger role in promoting the product than Rush Limbaugh. I just remember him doing ads for Snapple on his show, that's all. By the way, any Stern fan knows his sense of humor and realizes the dedication in his book (about what he did with his wife on their first date) is just part of his "act" like the rest of his radio personna.

I was really just responding to the guy who insinuated that if Mr. Limbaugh endorses a product, then using that product says something about you. I was gently making the point that Mr. Limbaugh also endorses Snapple, and that by drinking Snapple, that does not mean you are a bad person. As far as who made Snapple a nationwide product, I would definitely put my advertising dollars on Limbaugh. Stern does not have nearly the coast to coast coverage that Limbaugh does. I guess it doesn't matter anyway, but it was good to see that Bose Wave Radio playing on the nightstand. I may get one now.

This is a digression from the group, sorry in advance.

I have heard Rush claim to have put snapple on the map, and to a certain extent he may have a point. But Howard definitely was FIRST as far as When it was endorsed. But 5 or 6 years ago, I doubt Stern was as widely syndicated as limbaugh, he (Stern) was more northeastern, which is what snapple started out as.

As far as Bose goes "Bose goes" that sounds funny....

they advertise on several national radio shows as well as Rush and do a lot of Magazine advertising in major mags, so although Rush can legitimately claim to have contributed to their sales, they're way too big for him to say he put them on the map.

I'm sure the marketing execs at Bose know who gives them the most bang for buck, i always wondered what it costs to buy an entire radio network's time and what kind of sales can be generated.

I have a hard time justifying $350 for a clock radio. I like those little crap boxes that you get at WalMart for $5. We have several all over the house.
