Viewers express disappointment with "The Junk Mail" episode, finding it unfunny and stupid, with complaints about declining quality in writing and Elaine's storylines becoming increasingly poor.
When I finished watching this ep, I said to my husband (who did not watch it with me), "Seinfeld is getting so stupid that I don't even know why I still watch it. I think it's just nostalgia." I don't know how else to descibe it. Elaine's stories have been awful, awful, awful, and the thing with Jerry's friend sitting in the ground was just stupid. This was one of the most un-funny in a long time.

Your right. It's simply not very *funny*. Especially when we compare it to the syndicated classics we watch every night.
The writers and actors seem to think that they're "poop don't stink" (as my father would say). In other words, it is as if the writers and actors are on this emotional and egotistical "high" just because the ratings are high. Little do they realize that the only reason that the ratings are high is because so many dedicated fans out there refuse not to watch, no matter how bad the episodes get. I think the writers need a dose of REALITY. I hope they read the article in this week's Entertainment Weekly issue about the decline of Seinfeld. Or hope they take a look at this newsgroup.

Justin used to be so good. I still catch his old posts in syndication. But his new "episodes" are tired and unfunny. He doesn't have the "physics" of good post-writing anymore.
