Yep, it was him--Stephen Root. He played "Mr. Lager" in the Seinfeld episode, "The Invitations", but I have no memory of it. I just checked the script at The News Guy (Mike)'s site; was he the bank manager?

Yeah, Daniel Von Bargen. But Francis has been stuck in Alaska for the last few months, so we don't ever get to see 'Kruger' anymore.
Didn't something horrible happen to Kruger when Francis left the academy? I seem to recall Francis was presented with a ceremonial sword, with which he promptly cut off Kruger's one good hand by accident.
