🤯 Prediction Never happened

George and Susan's engagement will last until their wedding on March 21st (first day of spring).

Fans debate whether George will reconcile with Susan after she suspects him of cheating with Elaine, with mixed opinions on Susan's character and predictions about their wedding date.

Does anyone think that George will be able to get his finance back not that she thinks he is fooling around with Elane?

When they end the show next year, Jerry and Elaine should have given it one more try. And George should marry Marissa Tomei. :)

What could you possibly not like about Susan? She doesn't do anything annoying, she isn't mean to anyone, and she is generally pleasant and tolerant. Her engagement to George has been the only highlight of this otherwise below average season. But on the substantive point, I think that the engagement will stand until March 21st. The first day of spring is a Thursday and seeing how this is the date of their wedding, there must be an episode planned. It just works out too well to be coincidence.

Maybe this will get rid of her once and for all. She's a real pain in the ass- I can't imagine any guy *wanting* to marry a girl like that, but then again we're talking about George here, and not just any guy. :)

I can't imagine anyone not wanting to marry a girl like that, so I can't possibly even consider the validity of the rest of your post. But let me ask this, what do you find so bad about Susan? She doesn't do anything annoying, she doesn't act cruel to anyone (both of these in direct contrast to Elaine), and so forth and so on. Your position makes no sense, since the worst Susan could inspire due her lack of negativity would seem to be indifference.

Maybe she'll get a makeover to look like Miss Tormei. Yeah, THEN maybe George would be hot for her ......!

Or maybe not.

I'm curious as to what you all would think if George does actually get married? Do you think that if would throw the balance of the show off, or would you welcome the change? I'm interested in your opinion. --NOELLE--

I would love to see George marry Susan. Susan is the only person i have see that endurers George quirkynes. If she could not, they would not be engaged. I also think that it would be good for the show. It could add new plot ideas; they could explore the every day things that hapen in a marrige. Just look at the 'World are colliding' eppisode this season. It was great. No matter what someone might think of susan, you might agree that there marrige would be..... interesting... for the show. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex Sorokopud Carleton University Ottawa, Canada Email address: [email] ----------------------------------------------------------------------

As usual, you're denigrating remarks are masked in an absence of facts. Susan has always been the focus of the show for me, at least, so I don't think that I'm trying to change anything. All the marriage would do would continue the engagement storyline into next season, nothing would really change. She's not in the recent episodes much and its hard to believe that just because she and George will be husband and wife rather than mutual fiancees, the focus of the show would change. If anything, you're fighting a battle that has already been lost, since the 'focus' of the show was changed the instant George became engaged to Susan. The marriage wouldn't do much else on that account. In my opinion, the focus of the show should change, and Susan should be in it much more (and this of course means that George should be in it much more) while Elaine should be in it much less. The Elaine storylines lack any vitality and this is not just because of her unpleasant character but rather more the result of poor writing and lack of imagination. Incidentally, I don't see your analogy works at all unless the person you are applying it to happened to think that Seinfeld was the most important thing in the their life.

Since the Susan storyline is of relatively recent vintage, with the exception of the few NBC-related episodes, and the lesbian episodes(which you, of course, choose to regard as an abberation, since it doesn't fit your fantasy) one can't help but wonder how you happened upon this show at all...?

Umm.... Susan hasn't been on Seinfeld for very long. She's had a small supporting role for less than 10 episodes. How can you say that she's always been the focus of the show for you?

I must say that the education system in this country is disintegrating very quickly. Not even being able to count to 10. Absolutely pathetic. Susan has been on way more than 10 episodes, both in this season and two seasons ago when they had the pilot for NBC storyline. I started watching about then and I stopped watching when they cut her until last season, when I started watching again out of boredom and disgust with the rest of tv. Incidentally, if you doubt my words on the number of episodes, I would suggest getting an episode and counting. Also, her role is not small and is the largest outside of the big 4.

Susan's role is not small, but I'd have to say that George's parents (or possibly Newman) have the largest roles outside of the big 4.

I stand by my original assertions on the Forbes candidacy and poor turnout in Iowa is not enough to sink it. He will well in New Hampshire and this will propel him in Delaware and Arizona (plus keep in mind that New York has over 100 delegates and Forbes is the only candidate against Dole there). Forbes v. Buchanan, Forbes v. Dole, it all works out the same. When Alexander runs into the wall that hit Forbes last week, he won't be able to survive because he doesn't have the money. Forbes v. Buchanan v. Dole looks like what the race may turn out to be. As long as Forbes doen't drop out to prevent Buchanan from being the nominee, I stand by him as the Republican nominee. On your insulting comments regarding my intellect, let say this: the person to whom I was referring made his statement that Susan had been on less than 10 episodes as fact and this was crucial to the rest of his post, therefore he left himself exposed to criticism. Since you don't even bother to present opinions worth debating, since they aren't based on anything, it is very difficult to even begin to debate with you, but I will say that not all of my opinions are subjective and almost everything you have bothered to assert, is false.

You seemed pleased that Forbes isn't going to get the nomination. If it is just in being glaf that JCS is wrong, I could live with that, but if it is because you have something against Forbes, then I will be really disappointed. Forbes is in my not so humble opinion the best candidate in the race. He supports economic freedom, free trade, and is not under the thumb screws of the religious right. I don't know who you are supporting, or even if you a Republican, but Forbes is definetly better than the alternatives. I could live with Dole, but if that fascist Buchanon gets the nomination.... Well, I am a devout Republican, but I will not vote for Buchanon. I'll vote Libertarian if he ends up being the nominee. What this has to do with Seinfeld, I have no idea, I just saw some of the returns and Buchanon was winning, which really pissed me off. Elaine is a democrat. There, I tied it into Seinfeld. Peace, love, and corporate profits.

It just goes to show you how unmemorable Susan is. Not noticing her is understandable; I wouldn't say it indicates an inability to count.

I really hate to break this to you, but Newman is more important than Susan. Actually so are Jerry's parents. Actually so are George's parents.

Anyone notice that March 21st (the first day of spring) is a Thursday? Hmmmm....

I think a good Seinfeld plot would be for Susan's ex-lesbian lover to come back for an episode or two. That way we could see George at his normally insecure-neurotic best.

Just a thought...

No,no,no won't happen. Us Seinfeld watchers are sticklers for character continuity- we want our characters to be consistent. Hence when Jerry stole the rye many were questioning this bizarre act on behalf of George.

I am looking forward to see how the writer's end this engagement. Trying to make some guesses about myself.

We know George. We just know something is gonna happen.

Look at how things are now, especially in the Marisa Tomei episode. If you replace fiance with wife and engaged with married, not much else changes. I think that they have already inrcorporated her as his wife and it's become so normal to us we don't even notice. So unless anyone finds her throwing anything off now, it shouldn't later. George is still going to be lying to her. Just think of it as another job he has. Only his boss is Susan this time and his problems with her will be relationship related. I'm sure there will be plenty of episode with him trying to fool her and lie to her to keep us amused. I loved when he was making out with that pillow and she walked in on him. The look she gave him cracked me up.
